Hello, and welcome!  We wanted to take a moment to introduce the world to what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and what we want to accomplish.

First things first, we’d be playing Starfinder, Pathfinder, D&D, and all other manner of games (non RPG included) even if there wasn’t the enticement of social glory and infamy — we just flat out LOVE creating top notch stories and having a good time with our best pals.  We’ve been playing tabletop RPGs together for about 7-8 years, losing and gaining a few people along the way (we miss you Alex).  We came up with the idea to do an actual play podcast back in mid-2015 and started it with ridiculously sub par equipment and no real idea how much effort it would take.  Ultimately we faded out and disappointed some people in the process, ourselves included.  We have since invested in real recording equipment and set up an actual studio for our games to deliver a quality product that we can be proud of.  Having said that, making the game fun and enjoyable for our group and listeners will still be our number one priority.

If you have listened to our first episode, you may have noticed that we are really big into the roleplaying aspect and less “rules-heavy” — the reason behind that is that the story is what makes the game interesting, so we all play in character as much as possible. Rules are definitely important, but if it makes the game more interesting and doesn’t break anything then we will almost always err on the side of character/story development or unique cinematic moments.  Soooo… if you ever find that we did something “wrong” from a rules perspective, just know that Toby probably let it slide on purpose.  We still would love to hear about all the things we’re doing wrong, right and in between, but take it with a grain of salt.

Our first episode was posted last Friday and I can’t even tell you how overwhelmed we are with the response in just four days.  We are REALLY excited about being able to make this podcast for all of you wonderful folks, and honestly it’s incredible the response we’ve received.  To everyone who reached out to us and shared our podcast with your friends and family, seriously thank you!  That’s the only way this podcast will get traction, so we for real can’t thank you enough for it.
